Myofacial Release (MFR)
Living with pain, stiffness, or tension can affect every aspect of your life. The John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) approach is a gentle, hands-on therapy that relieves discomfort by addressing restrictions in the fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, nerves, and organs. Using sustained holds, MFR helps release these restrictions, allowing the facial system to glide on itself freely. Unlike traditional massage, MFR focuses on creating lasting changes within the fascial system to reduce pain, improve mobility, ease tension, and support the body’s natural healing processes. MFR may benefit individuals experiencing chronic pain, fibromyalgia, TMJ dysfunction, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, migraines, injury recovery, and stress-related tension. *Clients remain clothed during treatment and should wear loose-fitting shorts and a tank top or sports bra. A 90-minute initial session is recommended to allow time for a thorough assessment and treatment.*
